Vector Group Ltd. (NYSE: VGR) today announced that Jeffrey Podell, a
long-serving member of the company’s board of directors, has passed away.

immensely by the board, and his contributions to the company will be

Mr. Podell, a private investor, served as a director of the company
since November 1993. He was a member of the New York State Bar
Association from 1965 until March 2010.
